Site Risk and Reliability Analysis

Risk and Reliability Assessment

KimiaPower site risk and reliability assessment comprise a systematic evaluation of a broad range of potential reliability activities and tools as currently employed and integrated, and develop a set of short and long term actions that will significantly improve the site infrastructure availability and prolong reliable operation. This will also permit the effective investment in areas of operation that will efficiently improve infrastructure reliability.

Objectives

The objectives and scope of our site reliability assessment will include:

  • Survey and analysis of current condition of the facility’s MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) infrastructure and assess their reliability, availability and maintainability.
  • Evaluate of concurrent maintainability of the MEP infrastructure and whether the systems can be maintained and repaired without downtime. We will provide a table outlining all major components, critical to the operation of the facility, and identify whether they can be properly maintained without downtime.
  • Evaluate the redundancy of the MEP infrastructure.
  • Identify risks associated with current systems’ configurations. The goal of this task is to evaluate each subsystem of the MEP infrastructure and identify its potential risks as well as potential opportunities for improvement in relation to the facility 7/24/365 operation.
  • When warranted, provide recommendations for improvements in order to optimize the facility’s MEP infrastructure availability.
  • Provide order of magnitude estimated cost for recommended improvement for major items including single point of failures.
  • Provide preliminary assessment of the site Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) for data centers and mission critical facilities
  • Provide preliminary assessment of site “Tier” level for data centers and mission critical facilities. Note: The Uptime Institute has presented the Tier level classifications for data centers and only Uptime Institute is authorized to certify the “Tier” level of a data center.
  • Perform a reliability block diagram (RBD) analysis of the facility to assess the “availability” of the infrastructure.
