Power Systems Design and Engineering

KimiaPower offers a complete service for the life of a power project from feasibility study, risk assessment and reliability analysis, through detailed design, project management, construction administration, testing and commissioning of the facility to match your power systems infrastructure needs.

KimiaPower team provides power systems design and engineering for cogeneration or combined heat and power (CHP) plants, substations, electrical balance of plants (eBOP) for small through mid-size gas turbine power plants and various fossil fuel power generation plants.

Plasma Gasification

In addition, KimiaPower is involved with innovation renewable energy approaches such as plasma gasification for waste to energy applications. In fact, our founder, Dr. Masoud Pourali is the chairperson of a newly form IEEE working group to write the first standard for designing plasma gasification plants for waste to energy. The IEEE standard title will be “Recommended Practice for Generating Renewable Energy through the Application of Plasma Gasification.” If you are interested in participating in this working group, please drop a note for Dr. Pourali at IEEE Standards Development Working Group.

KimiaPower also help utility companies improve the reliability and efficiency of their generation systems and assist them to meet, and exceed their renewable portfolio, environmental, and reliability mandates imposed by local and federal agencies. We assist utility companies to plan for diversifying their production portfolios often referred to as “Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Portfolio Standard”.
